Lampier on the move again – SunTour Stage 2 Gallery

Another breakaway escape for Lampier prove fruitful as the Cornish man take 5th on stage 2.

“The profile of stage 2 suited me better today & I wanted another shot at the breakaway move after yesterday.
It’s a shame in some ways that I had yesterday efforts in my legs. Really happy to take 5th after two big days on the bike.”

Lampier was part of a 10 man group which included Team Sky’s Luke Rowe. The group shrunk to six as the pace of the escapees increase in the final kilometres. Luke Rowe hit out for a long range attack to take the stage win.
Behind, the reduced bunch of 30 riders including Ian Bibby and Edmund Bradbury rode for the line. Bibby sprinted for 9th place on the stage and retains his general classification placing.
