Duo of Ed Clancy and Ali Slater held off Team Wiggins and Pedal Sure to claim victory after three rounds of racing. The JLT Condor squad earn automatic qualification to the Champion League and will face competition from Team Sky, Cannondale-Drapac and Orica-BikeExchange.
JLT Condor finished third in the final round of the series held at Manchester Velodrome. Alistar Slater stepping in for Jon Mould, who rode with Ed Clancy in round one and two securing back-to-back round victories.
“It’s been a great series again, and after missing out on everything last year, I’m just really happy to be back racing on my bike with the team and having fun.” Explained Ed Clancy
“In terms of qualifying for the Revolution Champions League the pressure was off after Glasgow [Round 2], we were right up there. Tonight was about winning the UK Series, which we did with a race to go which was great.” said the triple Olympian.
The Revolution Champion League is held across three dates beginning in Paris on 18/19 November. The racing moves to Manchester Velodrome and then to London for a finale on the 2nd/3rd December.
The format sees teams of teams select two riders from their Revolution squad for each round, aiming to score as many points as they can in the five Elite Championship races at every round: the Flying Lap, Elimination Race, Points Race, Madison Time Trial and Scratch Race.
Points are scored for each race based on the position of the best-placed rider from each team.
