Join JLT, our principle sponsor, in their challenge to raise money for Action on Addiction with the help of pro riders from the JLT Condor cycling team on Friday 16th September.
Entry to the ride is £125 with the option to choose from 150km or 100km routes and take on some of the most picturesque countryside and climbs in Sussex beginning from Parham House.
Entry for a team of four is £450 with a prize awarded to the fastest team on the day.
Ultimate end of season ride
John Herety and the JLT Condor cycling team will lend their support along the routes from handing up food at the feed stations to riding with participants on the routes.
Post ride, sit down with the team, grab lunch in the idyllic grounds of Parham House and take part in the Q&A with the team. Win exclusive prizes in the raffle including team goodies and a team car experience.
All proceeds from the ride are donated to JLT’s chosen charity of the year, Action on Addiction.
Action on Addiction is a UK-based charity that was founded in 2007 and works with people affected by drug and alcohol addiction. It works in the areas of research, prevention, treatment, aftercare, as well as professional education and family support. HRH Duchess of Cambridge is a patron of the charity.
About the rides
Both rides begin from Elizabethan house and estate, Parham House. The rides travel west through the South Downs National Park. Here you’ll travel through the serene hills and valleys of the South Downs and watch the lush countryside ripple across the county, with the odd Roman ruin to spy on the winding lanes. Each route features feed stations and mechanic support along the way.
The 150km (93 miles) & shorter distance 98km (60 miles) will be held on quiet roads around the South Downs in West Sussex. The rides begin at Parham House & Gardens just off the A24 near Storrington.
The route makes it’s way through the South Downs National Park on quiet lanes and will include climbs up Duncton Hill and Harting Hill, then head south/west through Compton, Funtington and looping round to Goodwood, Duncton. We then head through Graffham, Lodsworth, Lurgashall, Haslemere, Chiddingfold, Plaistow, Kirdford, Fittleworth and Coldwaltham before returning Parham House for lunch.
The first 100km of the rides utilise the same climbs and routes, upon arriving Duncton, the the longer ride swing north towards Haselmere on quiet lanes and crossing two more climbs before reaching Parham House.
Parking is available for free at the estate.
